Dad on Finnegan...

My wife said something to me yesterday that I totally loved. She said "I knew you would love him, but, I never thought that you would be so 'in love' with him."

I am of course talking about my new son, Finnegan Carter Daly, who was born on 8/9/2013 @ 4:10 PM. He is a big boy! He weighed 8 lbs 15 oz and was 21 Inches long. Sadly, my wife, Heather, had to get a cesarean section in order to get him out because he was so big.

Anyway, it's true. Like my first son, Atom Rush Daly, I am totally enamoured by Finnegan and completely in love with him. He amazes me every second of every day. I can watch him for hours; even when he is sleeping. He is so cute and smart; he is about as perfect as you can get being so new and uncorrupted by life.

The Best Picture Ever! Mom and baby resting comfortably the day we got released from the hospital. Finnegan was only two days old here.

The really kewl thing is that he has what seems like an unlimited range of facial expressions that usually are timed with whatever you are saying so it's hilarious; especially if you are making a running commentary of what he is thinking...

The B&W pic above is my absolute favorite of Heather and Finn. They look so peaceful.

Dad in the hospital with Fiinnegan...

The one of me holding Finn was taken in the hospital because my mom said that she didn't have a pic of me holding my son. Well we couldn't have that, could we?

I can't wait to get home and see him, wake up and see him and get up in the middle of the night to go get him. Normally I get up and go in his room and get him, the bottle and burp cloth and she feeds him. This works out well because once I bring him back in the bedroom and give him over to her my eyes are starting to go cross and I am ready to tackle sleep again since I have to get up early for work. But seriously I don't mind getting up often to go get him. :)

We both love our little Irishman; he is a kewl d00d!
