I have the good fortune to be married to my soul mate and the father and step-father to some great kids!

One of the happiest days of my life. Our Voodoo wedding @ Voodoo Doughnut's Tres in Eugene, OR

I started writing a long time ago but it has been only in the last six or so years that I have really buckled down and wrote anything of substance. I have one story published in "Spectacular Speculations" which is a speculative fiction magazine and am toying with the idea of a collection of short stories eBook... We'll see.

I am a IT Generalist by profession for a major South Korean auto manufacturer. I do everything from Networking to Cabling to Desktop Support. I have my MCSE (Microsoft Certified System Engineer) and MCP (Microsoft Certified Professional) and A+, Net+ and iNet+ certs. I am slowly working on my Cisco Certs like CCNP (Cisco Certified Network Professional), CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Administrator) and eventually my CCSP (Cisco Certified Security professional) and CCIE (Cisco Certified Internet Engineer).

I love to write but have been slacking in that department lately so I am hoping that this site will help keep me honest; keep me writing.

I have grown up with computers and video games since the late 70's. Starting with Atari (2600 & 2400) and Intelivision and Colecovision and graduated to the Commodore 64, TRS 80, Apple IIe, and the Tandy. Taking a short break I got right back in with a Gateway and started building my own PC's ever since. I have dabbled in Web Design and Web Hosting and have been employed in the IT / Telecom field for about 15 years including running six ISP's and managing all of their Member Support and Broadband sales. Now I deal with it not only on a personal level but also on an enterprise level as well.

To say that technology is a passion of mine is an understatement as my brilliant wife will attest to and to be honest I have an opinion on most matters and believe it or not, they are not usually negative.

I was a total gamer geek for years playing Unreal Tournament, Mobile Forces, Counterstrike, Team Fortress and anything else we could have a massive LAN party for on a Friday night. I was always saving for a new video card or motherboard, whatever was hot at the time (maybe on Tom's Hardware when it first came out.) Then I made my evolution over to World of Warcraft when it was still in beta. I didn't like it. I finished the beta and switched over to City of Heroes for about 2 months then went back to WoW after seeing the massive changes they made.

I don't have as much time for playing games any more but I do get most of the latest PC game titles and play them a little bit. also seem to have little time to write; I need to find the time since it when I am writing I get so much joy from it.

Maybe we can both learn something here...?
